Katie and her husband Mike, bakers and owners of Pacific Sourdough, sell fresh baked breads and pastries at the Saturday Farmers' Market in Newport and the Wednesday Farmers' Market in Corvallis. Market shoppers will find a wide variety of handcrafted Pacific Sourdough breads and specialty pastries baked fresh that day (often still warm from the oven!) and can enjoy the seasonal offerings and inspirations of the baker exclusive to the Farmers’ Market venue. 2010 Corvallis Winter Market begins Saturday, January 16th and runs from 9 to 1 every Saturday thru March. We will be selling at the market on January 16th, 23rd, 30th, and March 13th, 20th and 27th. The Winter Market is located at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Guerber Hall. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Corvallis-Indoor-Winter-Market/173924568476 Pacific Sourdough can also be purchased in Newport at JC Thriftway and Oceana Co-op, delivered fresh each Thursday afternoon. Katie also makes the house bread for The Bay House Restaurant in the Taft area of Lincoln City as well as the ciabatta bread for the delicious sandwiches at Grand Occasions in Yachats. Last season Mike began selling grilled artisan pizza at the farmers markets. The pizza is crispy thin crust style using fresh seasonal produce from local growers at the market. Mike grills the pizzas right there so they are hot and delicious. Look for his red tent and the Pacific Sourdough HOT sign or just follow your nose!
